Abstract
The 54th World Health Assembly
Having reviewed the report on strengthening of nursing and midwifery;
Recalling resolutions WHA 42.27, WHA 45.5, WHA 47.9, WHA 48.8 and WHA 49.1, which recommended measures to strengthen nursing and midwifery;
Recognizing the importance of accessible health systems in initiatives to improve the health of the population as highlighted in the World Health Report 2000.
