Peer Review Process

RE-IMSS ensures a rigorous, ethical, and confidential peer review process under a double-blind review system.

• Each manuscript is evaluated by subject-matter, methodological, and bibliographic specialists using an evaluation form validated by the Editorial Council and Editorial Committee.

• The editorial decision may be:

  • Acceptable for publication (P)

  • Acceptable for publication with revisions (PM)

  • Revisions required and subject to further review (RNR)

  • Not acceptable for publication (NP)

In the event of conflicting review reports, the Editor will appoint a third reviewer. The final decision is not subject to appeal and will be communicated to the corresponding author by email.

Revised versions must be submitted through the OJS platform within a maximum period of 30 calendar days following notification. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the closure of the editorial process.
