Is the chemotherapy application a risk-free procedure?

Abstract

Data of patients undergoing cytotoxic treatment have been associated with múltiple secondary effects. Ho-wever, some of this side effects had been observed In nurses and pharmacist who nandling cytotoxic agents. We report a clin leal obser\'atlon of personnel who worked with thls drugs. During 30+4 procedures, 36% of nurses had mistakes during procedures and 6% had accidental exposure to this agents.

The guidelines and rules for handling antineoplastic. agents are anallzed. Recommendations for their use are necessary to avoid late side effects in this personnel.
