Primary Health Care : About the pending and important

Abstract

In Mexico we are in a temporary moment and today more than ever it is important to reflect on what we should put on the public agenda with regard to health, in this horizon comes the start of a new government and the recently issued International Conference on Primary Care of Health in Astana, Kazakhstan.
This reflection is a call to action for political decision making in favor of health, we seek to provoke the different national actors involved in health services to collectively build policies, strategies and models aimed at strengthening the health system through to turn our attention to the renewal of Primary Health Care (PHC).
We must aspire to constitute ourselves as a health system based on the renewed PHC; conceived with a broad approach to the organization and operation of health services, which makes the right to achieve the highest possible level of health its main objective, while maximizing the equity and solidarity of the system.
