The administration in nursery. A learning method and continuing education

Abstract

Budget is lower than needs, indeed it is necessary to apply effective proceedings to guarantee utilization. The health’s general manager should be a leader with a clear vision on future about the organization. A new paradigm is place in management administration in order to guarantee quality and increase  productivity. At Colombia, the nurse is a leader of the great environmental changes to the inner of the organization. The nurses are a lot of quantity personnel of the health services. There is a necessity to change the way for a empowering the nurses in administration and management. With the purpose to empower the nurse’s skills like management activities, knowledge about health systems, organizational process and merchandising, skills in management and leadership, quality administration. We are proposing a strategy of continuing education and training in management with "travelers seminaries". The educational program is build with disciplinary competence (administration theory, strategic planning, organization design), interdisciplinary competence (social security, basic concepts about merchandise services, the nursing law), social competence (leadership, the organization like a communicational structure) and analytic competence (project management, design, development and evaluation projects). There are impact indicators and some brief recommendations.
