Curriculum elements of the nursing degree

Abstract

The objective of this article is to present the conformation of the basic, theoretical-conceptual elements that sustain the curricular design of the School of Nursing of the Autonomous University of Morelos -level of degree-. It is based on the real possibility of participation of the graduates in the field of competence placing the professional practice in the social context and identifying the scenarios and tasks of nursing in each one of them. The nurse-patient and health-disease relationships are proposed as fundamental in the different situations that a patient or group lives. The intervention strategies that are configured in nursing care guide the selection and organization of contents and the structure of the curriculum; the pedagogical supports of the curricular proposal are outlined, the demands that this poses to the teachers and the sociocultural structure where the subject unfolds, recognizing that each singular context requires an adequate theorization in which the theoretical-conceptual models offer elements for understand the concrete reality where the subject develops and acts.
