Supply of material and real consumption to care for a hospitalized nephropath patient

Objective: to identify the supply of consumer material necessary for the care of the hospitalized patient in the peritoneal dialysis service.
Material and methods: prospective descriptive study in the nephrology service of the Hospital of Specialties of the National Medical Center "Adolfo Ruiz Cortines" in Veracruz, Ver. The data were recorded in a specific format of the assortment material (group I) and real consumption (group II) used in the peritoneal dialysis procedure in 24 hours.
Results: in group I (assortment material) and group II (real assortment), the difference of the averages observed in both groups was significant = z (p <0.05).
Conclusion: the material supplied to the service is insufficient, for the real needs.
