Suggestions for citing other authors correctly

I have already commented in an editorial - published in the Medical Journal of the IMSS - that doing the editorial care of a scientific journal allows those who do this work to realize certain inconsistencies in which a considerable part of the authors incurs when writing articles. On that occasion, I spoke, among other things, of plagiarism, of English abstracts - which are often not well written - of the responsible use of language in medical Spanish and of the standard way of writing the names of the authors - so that all their work is unified under a single signature-
