Human resources for health, central topic in the OMS 2006 reports
Keywords:
World Health Organization, Human Resources, Nursing, Health SystemsAbstract
In most health systems in the world there is a real concern about the situation that prevails in their countries, high demand for services and a growing shortage of qualified human resources. While this problem is general, it is particularly severe in countries where health problems are most severe.
This is the reason why the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared this year, as the year of human resources, and has invited all the member countries of the working environment in order to retain and conserve their resources, especially because it is recognized that health systems operate thanks to this large contingent of people who make it possible to provide services.
