Abstract

The goal is that the human being has raised throughout the history of civilization has reached the highest welfare, which means protecting yourself from the factors that affect security. The Health Economics locates different risk factors for the wellbeing of the individual, among others, premature death, old age, disability resulting from an accident or illness and poor health; all of them affect the capacity of the person to be self-sufficient from the individual, labor and social point of view. Therefore, the state establishes Social Security systems tends to reduce risk factors and contribute to social welfare, maintain quality of life and promote social integration. Under this approach, attention to the health of the individual in the different stages of life is an indicator of the development of a country and, in the specific case of the elderly, the conditions of well-being, equality and the perception of wealth in a society, since the level of wellbeing in this stage of life is directly related to the participation in the productive processes, as well as the impacts on health and the manifest future that exists between health, economy and politics.
