The importance of nursing care

Abstract

The care of patients is the essence of the nursing profession, which can be defined as an activity that requires personal and professional value aimed at the conservation, reestablishment and self-care of life that is based on the nurse-therapeutic relationship patient. However, there are situations that influence the work of the nursing professional, forgetting in some moments, that the essence of this is respect for life and professional care of the human being. For this reason, there is a need to reflect on the importance of nursing care, as it affects and is part of the production of health services, considered essential to achieve some final results such as discharge, satisfaction and lower hospital stay of the patient, greater productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of the professional and maintenance of the quality of care, among others.
