Prescribing by nurses in Mexico

The prescription is a global trend that is part of nursing practice as an academic discipline and profession in each country is subject to the established standards. In Mexico, nursing practice it was recently regulated by the Norma oficial mexicana NOM-019-SSA3-2012, which establishes nursing actions according to the different types of interventions made in the health system. This has generated reflection on the nursing guild, and members of the health team. It is an international issue that more and more countries approve in professional nursing practice.
