Abstract
The human aspect in the treatment of patients is conditioned, on the one hand, by the policies of the agencies that provide services and, on the other, by interpersonal relationships. A challenge for nursing staff is to join internationally in the cooperative effort of education, research, technology and theoretical development if they want to contribute to reduce the tensions created by society for the benefit of patients.
