Experience of the nursing professional in the use and development of the electronic clinical record

Introduction: The electronic medical record is the digital medium in which health personnel record and certify their intervention related to the patient, it’s regulated by the Official Mexican Standard NOM-024-SSA3-2012.
Development: The design of the electronic medical record has been carried out according to the needs of the nursing professional during the clinical care of patients, considering that when the digital system was implemented in the institution, there was no experience in the use of digital platforms for nursing and national references were scarce, not so abroad, but the technological context is different. Therefore, a proposal for an electronic sheet for nursing was made and feedback was given according to the experience acquired.
Conclusions: Digital models optimize times, demonstrate care, for timely and effective decision-making, aimed at quality of care and patient safety.
