In this work, the current concentration of the nursing human resources in hospitals stands out and the growing criticisms of the medicalized model of care centered on hospitals are described. Changes in health systems are necessary as a result of the ever increasing cost of the hospitalization bed and the manifest dissatisfaction of the users with the care received.
