Abstract

We are motivated to actualize ourselves along with the advances in Mexican medicine, both because of the nurse's important role in Health Sciences and particularly in hospital work. As a member of the health team, the nurse must be up to date in the IMSS's recent archievments, such as organ transplantations. This is the reason we submit the present protocol of inclusion and exclusion of receptor and donor patients in pancreas transplantations. This paper mentions the nurse's core which is offered in the Hospital de Especialidades at the Centro Médico "La Raza’" to patients submitted to pancreas transplantation both before and after operation.
