Nurses day discourse

Abstract

Year after year, the National Nurse's Day Ceremony is held to justly acknowledge the outstanding work performed by the country's nurses for the benefit of the Mexican population. On this occasion, the Ceremony was held on January 5, in the Ollin Yoliztli Room, presided over by the First Lady, Mrs. Cecilia Occelli de Salinas, the Secretary of Health Dr. Jesús Kumate Rodríguez, the General Director of the IMSS Lic. Ricardo García Sainz and two other representatives of the Health Institutions.

This important event was atended by nurses from the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social, the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales para los trabajadores del Estado, the Sistema Nacional para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia, Departamento del Distrito Federal, the Secretaria de la Defensa Nacional and the Secretaria de Salud, who listened attentively to the messages prepared by the Nursing Personnel of each Institution.
