Keywords:

Introduction: written communication or writing is a communicative activity of the first order that implies an advanced cultural state in man. It is not a mechanical activity, whose domain requires only practice, but a mental process that involves the production of an element - the writing - which is the vehicle of messages emanating from one person to be captured by another. Therefore, its implementation demands a careful process and the use of suitable elements to fulfill this function.
Development: the importance of reflecting on reality when we write, on how and what we have learned to write: what do we know about the written language and about the act of writing? What do we have to know to be good writers? of writings we make?
In the writing the author is limited to giving written form to a given topic. In the case of nurses who have this means of dissemination: scientific articles, daily practice, general information, editorials ... to disseminate the experience and knowledge obtained in the practice of their practice; contribute to the continuing education of the nursing staff of the Mexican Institute of Social Security and other health and education institutions; promote academic and research activity in this discipline and participate in the dissemination of scientific and technical advances for the care of the sick.
Conclusion: it would not be difficult to write if you did not have to think so much before. In the process of the development of a writing it is very important to consider - in addition to the functions of the sender and receiver - the characteristics of form and background in accordance with the objective that is intended to be covered.
