Abstract

Objective: to identify sociodemografics factors related with the opinion in patients with 60 years or more about the attention that they receibed by infirmary attention.

Material and method: analysis of data of the project Use of the Services of Health of the Population older than 60 Years at of the IMSS with 1927 patients were captured that answered the questions related to the infirmary attention (n=1927).

Independent sociodemografic variable: were age, sex, civil state, schooling.

Dependent variable: the fellow's perception defined as the opinion about infirmary attention in personal treatment, orientation abilities and efficiency.

Results: the schooling was significant at the moment of evaluation the nurse's services in the following aspects: personal treatment (p = 0.03), ability (p = 0.02) and efficiency (p=0.02).

Conclusions: the opinion of the users of the services depends of social and demographic factors, in the case of the 60 year-old population and more from the Federal District, the schooling was related with the way of evaluating the

infirmary development in some areas of its acting.
