Liberal education; the only treatment against spiritual maladies. Marginal reflections in light of the philosophy of education. The purpose of this essay is to lead the reader, through the paradoxes of contemporary education. Throughout the document he defines his position on the liberal arts, and on liberated education. It makes a relationship between know-how, know how to write, read and argue and counter-argue with the culture and liberal education. Throughout the writing we are gently led to touch on other topics such as politics and democracy, through universal thinkers such as Plato, Kant, Hegel and others. The author makes a defense of the written word and therefore of the books with an ecologist and dialectic vision, and this is an opportunity as he proposes to listen to the conversation through what the authors write, considered great thinkers as a alternative against spiritual maladies. Finally we must recognize in the document a critique of contemporary education, government policies and educational institutions subject to a national economy linked to external determinants that rather than favor the development of human beings, impede the improvement and an alternative to achieve the beauty and happiness.
