If you answer affirmatively, relying "only" on the witness tape that all equipment must bring, you are in error, so I allow myself to give you a guide so that you know the route and the conditions of it, followed by that team from your arrival to the Equipment Central, after being used for the last time until the moment you have it in front of you.
1. When you reach C.E.Y.E. the tray and instruments are washed with soap and water. If used with an infected patient, a previous decontamination with sodium hypochlorite or, if available, with dichloro-cracking and subsequent washing is required to guarantee the cleaning of the equipment. Hence the need for the nursing staff who deliver it to communicate that it is contaminated equipment.
2. Once clean, dry and check to replace broken and / or damaged parts. If the parts are not available, the equipment is removed from circulation until a new one is obtained or the damaged one is repaired. This is the reason why on some occasions the equipment is not available in the service.
3. After review, the equipment is assembled based on the guide card.
